[Pro] Forum Security -- Softpress FreewayTalk

Seems like with the rebirth of Softpress, that its time to update the forum security certificate.

Still would be nice to address this issue. If you cant afford a payed certificate you can always use:

“Let’s Encrypt” — Free SSL/TLS Certificates https://letsencrypt.org/

Security, both real or perceived should always be of the utmost importance.

Imagine as people come across Softpress for the first time (unless new users are not desired?). As they look to see what community support is offered, as this along with proper documentation are two major interests of importance for new users or potential customers. Then they see the security warming, what type of image or perception is that projecting to these people?

Yet its such a simple fix to resolve this issue and prevent this type of unneeded perception for Softpress, its users and potential customers.

That’s a very good point. I have lodged a reminder with the owner of the server (Richard Logan). So we shall see what happens next.

Finally !

Glad someone was given authority to address things.

Now spend a few days setting this forum as a search only archive and setup a Discourse forum instead.

In less than 2-3 days SoftPress would appear modern, well at least from this end of things.
