Adobe Bridge CC 2017

In Bridge, under the “Folders” panel, several folders have a disclosure arrow to the left of the folder icon indicating nested (sub)folders. The problem is none of them actually contain subfolders. Files only.

Some files seem to trigger the appearance of the arrow, meaning if I remove a certain file the arrow sometimes disappears. Sometimes not. I also tried creating a new folder and moving the files over but the result is the same.

Ideas as to what may be the cause?

Seems to me like it behaves like Apple’s Finder …
